Sustainability
Sustainable development is our top priority
It is widely known that the textile industry contributes significantly to environmental pollution and the consumption of scarce resources on our planet. As both members of the industry and consumers, we are aware of our responsibility toward the environment. Our brands and we ourselves make new decisions every day to further reduce our ecological footprint.
Transformation for Greater Sustainability
We have a vision to improve the everyday lives of many people. In today's reality, this requires reshaping our business and supply chain while reducing our environmental impact.
Becoming a Recycling-Oriented Company
We are working to transform every aspect of our operations—from energy and material sourcing to product development, how and when we engage with our customers, and the way we conduct business.
Sustainability Strategy
We will use more raw materials with a low carbon footprint, focus on electrification, and continuously improve energy efficiency. We will enhance carbon sequestration through our agroforestry practices. As a growing circular economy-oriented company, we will ensure that carbon remains stored longer in our products and raw materials.
Low-emission Shipping
Makemesurprise offsets all CO2 emissions from this order's shipping and packaging.
Eco Fashion and Green Lifestyle
Makemesurprise's sustainability strategy aims to transform the entire value chain of its business and improve the lives of people in their homes around the world.
Our Materials
Choosing More Sustainable Materials
Wood
Cotton
Plastic
Metal
Wool
Bamboo
  • Wood is one of the most important materials for products that are renewable, durable, recyclable, and aesthetically pleasing.

  • All the cotton in this product comes from more sustainable sources. This means the cotton is either recycled or grown with less water and pesticides than conventional cotton. Additionally, our cotton helps improve the profitability of cotton farms.

  • All plastics we use are renewable or recycled. We are phasing out single-use plastics and incorporating various types of sustainable plastics in more and more products.

  • Metal is not only strong and durable but also affordable. We are doing everything we can to make metals more sustainable by ensuring they are responsibly sourced and produced.

  • We are committed to using only responsibly sourced wool, which comes from sheep that are treated well and raised on responsibly managed land.

  • Bamboo is a renewable, recyclable, and resilient material suitable for many commonly used products. Its advantage lies in the fact that structural elements and panels made from bamboo can be very thin, requiring less material per product. This saves natural resources and reduces transportation costs.

Creating a More Sustainable Life
More and more people want to reduce their personal impact on the environment but don’t know how to do it. Living more sustainably means making small changes in daily life. The beauty of small things is that together, they can make a big difference.
Reducing Energy Consumption
Switch to LED lighting; turn lights on only when needed; use dimmers and timers to lower energy usage.
Reducing Water Consumption
Reuse wastewater when possible; install faucets with spray nozzles; fix dripping taps; avoid letting water run unnecessarily.
Choosing Better Food Options
Opt for vegetarian meals; choose farmed meat over wild game; select coffee and chocolate with eco-certifications; grow your own herb garden and pick fresh produce.
Generating Less Waste
Minimize food waste and cook according to needs; separate waste for recycling; avoid discarding unused items; recycle plastic and disposable products.
Extending Product Lifespan
Follow usage and care instructions; for household items, adhere to washing guidelines—including temperature, material, and washing method.
